We are excited to announce a new coffee we have available in limited quantities for purchase online and in-store at KOS!  

 

PRODUCER:  Benjamin Lopez

ORIGIN:  San Antonio Huista, Huehuetenango Guatemala

ELEVATION:  1720 MASL

VARIETAL:  Caturra 

PROCESS:  Extended Fermentation Washed

NOTES:  Toffee, Bright Green Apple, Maple Syrup.

TRANSPARENCY:  KOS purchased this coffee for $5.15 per pound FOB.  

FACTS:  This is a 100% Caturra lot of coffee from our friend Benjamin Lopez.  This single producer and single varietal coffee is from the San Antonio Huista area surrounding Huehuetenango.  After picking the ripe cherries by hand, Benjamin allows for the coffee to ferment in the cherry for 48 hours in a zero oxygen environment before depulping and washing.  This process gives his coffee a clean, but unique and bright flavor profile.

I look forward to this cup

I bought this randomly when I ordered some mugs from a diff company. I now come back to KOS to buy direct. This is the best coffee I’ve ever had. As a biologist, I understand fermentation and it makes me really appreciate the work that went into my morning cup. Thank you.
