At KOS, one of our goals is to make Specialty Coffee more approachable.  To do this, we host ongoing Coffee Classes, teaching others about Specialty Coffee, Home Brewing Techniques, and what to look for when tasting and selecting your next coffee.  These classes are great for date nights, corporate team building, or for individual’s interested in becoming more knowledgeable about coffee.

We request a minimum of (2) participants per class.

During each class, we highlight a different farmer’s Coffee, giving customers insight into the detail and process it takes to get coffee from farm level to street level.  We then taste different brew methods of the farmer’s Coffee (Espresso, Drip, and Pour Over), and explore the tasting notes of each brew style.  Additionally, we teach customers a new brewing technique (Pour Over, French Press, AeroPress) that they can use to make coffee at home and review the basics of Coffee 101.

 

Included in each Coffee Class:

(1) 250g bag of Coffee.

All Coffee consumed throughout class.

Coffee Class with Carson

My girlfriend and I did a coffee class with Carson, and it was awesome! He is so passionate and knowledgeable about all things coffee related. The class was extremely flexible, allowing us to choose topics as it went on. We brought our own coffee equipment from home and Carson helped us fine-tune everything for more consistent and better tasting coffee (he even made me less terrible at latte art). Highly recommend the coffee at KOS and doing a class with Carson!

AMAZING Class with Carson

We LOVED our class! It was super flexible and tailored to what we wanted to learn. We brought in our own equipment, and Carson helped us perfect our technique in a way that we can replicate every day at home. Carson is a true expert and so kind to work with. This class could not have been better!!

Fantastic Pour Over Coffee Class

I had the pleasure of attending a KOS Coffee pour over class with Tuesday this past week and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the experience. Tuesday was comprehensive in her coverage of coffee bean processing, roasting, recipe crafting, and more. I’m looking forward to applying the knowledge and techniques I learned to more effectively dial in future pour overs. I would highly recommend KOS Coffee and their coffee classes to anyone interested in learning more about all aspects of specialty coffee.

I brought my mother and sister and we all enjoyed it! Our instructor, Tuesday, was passionate about coffee and presented the info in a clear and organized way. The coffees we tasted opened my eyes about what coffee can be. We also enjoyed lunch at KOS for a fun family outing. Recommended!

Perfect Coffee Intro Class

If you are looking to open your eyes and palate with respect to coffee and know the basics of the coffee seeds (not beans), this 90-min class with Russ is for you. For us it was a couples experience with friends and we loved it.
