This rare coffee is from Farmer/Producer Luis Saldarriaga. Luis’s farm is in Boliviar, Antioquia Colombia. Luis is a young farmer that took over his family’s farms in 2012 and started planting several different and new types of coffee trees. He has planted everything from rare Castillos, Caturras, Tabis, Bourbon, Geisha, and SL28’s. His farm is lovingly named “El Encanto”, due to it’s high elevation, beautiful views, and tranquility.This lot of coffee is a mix of Castillo, Tabi, and Colombia Varieties, in which we taste intense notes of Incredibly Funky, Purple Fruits. This is our first fully Extended Fermentation NATURAL coffee, hence it’s intense fermented based flavors. NATURAL Coffees are more intense in their flavor as they have been fermented inside the coffee cherry, allowing the mucilage inside the coffee cherry to soak on to each coffee bean before drying, and roasting.
